Description: When refugees arrive to the united states, they donÂÂÂ’t have a valid driverÂÂÂ’s license or a vehicle to drive to their appointments. It is important for them to become self reliant and using the bus transportation system allows them to do that. OmahaÂÂÂ’s bus system can be difficult and confusing to a newly arrived refugee. volunteers are needed to teach and assist class participants in how to navigate OmahaÂÂÂ’s bus system.Requirements:Potential volunteers must pass a background screen. This position is looking for volunteers available weekdays on a occasional, weekly, or monthly basis.An information session will be held every first Thursday of each month to provide more information about the opportunities offered working with the community services program and will provide time to complete application documents to become a volunteer.
