Hello!

I am a certified teacher with endorsements in English and the Language Arts. I have a BFA in Creative Writing, a Masters in Education, and a Masters in English. I currently hold a position as an English Adjunct Professor at iowa Western community College. For the last two years, I have taught at-risk youth all levels of English and various Language Arts (like Creative Writing and Drama) as part of Omaha Public School's alternative education program at Blackburn High School. I love helping students succeed and am comfortable teaching any skill set, from the struggling student looking to advance to the next stage of their education to the gifted student looking to master skills. I'm available to teach any level of English and can help students who want to concentrate on improving their comprehension of literature, writing, grammar, and all the other fun stuff that goes into an English curriculum. I am well-read, well-versed in a wide-variety of literary nationalities and time periods, and am a published writer myself. I will work with parents, guardians, and students in identifying goals, working on current school projects, and even in designing customized curriculum and learning schedules as requested. I live in south Omaha and am comfortable teaching anywhere in Omaha, Council Bluffs, and their surrounding areas.
